PVC-U Lead-Free Clean Water Pipes

Pipes made of PVC-U material began to be used in the 1960s instead of carcinogenic asbestos pipes for reasons such as their health, durability, lightness, corrosion resistance and ease of installation.

However, stabilizers containing some chemicals are used to protect PVC Pipes from high temperatures during production. Although the effect of these stabilizers on drinking water remains within the limits specified in the Food Codex, the heavy metals they contain have always posed a threat to health.

European Community countries have taken a leading role in this field, as in every field, and started to implement protective measures.

Since the Calcium-Zinc stabilizers used in the production of these pipes do not contain heavy metals that threaten human health, they are seen as the best alternative to be used in clean water pipe production.

In addition to this important advantage in terms of health, its other technical advantages are; Long-Term UV Protection: Calcium-Zinc stabilizers are more advantageous than other stabilizers as they protect PVC-U pipes from UV radiation for a long time. Thus, it is possible to preserve the color and mechanical properties of the pipe for a long time.

High Mechanical Strength: Pipes produced with Calcium-Zinc stabilizers have higher mechanical strength (pressure and impact).

Its color is blue, other features are the same as PVC-U pipes, and it is produced within the scope of TS EN ISO 1452-2 standard.
